Bella Mama Rose

Recent Opening on Morningstar Road in Port Richmond gives us “Bella Mama Rose” a Casual Family style dining restaurant serving up Italian Cuisine.    This restaurant is totally renovated from the previous one that stood at the same location.

An outside with Stone and Stucco and black awnings gives a neat presentation to what it holds.  Entering the restaurant we are welcomed by the bar room with chairs (Eat at bar feature), a room next to the kitchen, another room with round tables and side table, a private family ‘living room’, and another large dining room.

Walk-Around:

  • Entrance:  Full size bar with chairs and a TV.  Seems to be good for lunch sit down, an overall neat and clean presentation separated includes a coffee and espresso maker, functional POS system for reservations.
  • Room 1:  Leaving the bar walking straight ahead we enter the first room.  Booths set-up on both sides, tables in the center and an open ‘visible’ kitchen towards the back.
  • Room 2:  This is the inner room of the restaurant and makes a feel by adding round tables in the main dining area while keeping a single side surrounding by wall-booth tables.
  • Room 3: Private Family Dining:  This is what invents the name “Living Room in a Restaurant” and can make any family feel at home.  A Single large table set with sliding doors on both sides to keep neighboring diners out, allowing for a private home dining feel.  Since this restaurant focuses on Family Style dining, this is a perfect emphasis of the restaurant allowing medium/large family parties to be held in a private room.
  • Room 4:  (No Photos) we do not have photos of this room.  A large room sitting towards the windows pointing towards the outside.  At the time of taking photos the room was not fully set-up, but judging the way the full restaurant is built we can say it will look beautiful once complete.

Overall a great neat atmosphere with a setup to focus on casual family style dining is a great addition to the island.

Parking is available on the street and private parking lot on the side.
Alcohol:  Full Bar
Cuisine: Italian
Type:  Casual Family Style Dining
Reservations:  Suggested
Features:  Sunday Breakfast (10am)
