McGinn’s Grand Opening

A new Pub, Irish Restaurant and bar has opened in Great Kills, replacing Steven Dominick’s American Bistro.  Redesign of the first dining room, now places a bar  with a few tables upon entering.  The room that points towards the outside has remained similar.  Menu is now Pub Fare, burgers, appetizers, sandwiches and fries.

Parking is available through the metered lot, sitting right next to it.

Restaurant Snow Closings

Many Staten Island restaurants may be opening later then usual and reducing delivery service, if still even offering deliveries.  If you own a Restaurant which is still open and delivering, please contact us so we can post it through Fbook, Twitter and this blog.

Port Richmond’s Famous “Tacos La Abuelita” known for being open 24/7 has finally been re-open.   During this time the Deli across the Street was offering tacos in the wee hours.  Romeo’s pizzeria is back to it’s original location of being handled as “Famous NY Pizza”, the listings both have been updated on WhereYouEat.

Newsletter System is Functional

When you let us know which Zip Code you are located in, and a New restaurant opens up in your area we will deliver that straight to you, no need to fill up your email space with stuff that you are not interested in.  Although if you are planning on traveling outside of your area you can always check the scoop.

Gino’s Restaurant Profile

Board of Health Shuts down 2

The Board of Health has been furiously inspecting restaurants this year and have already shut down two.  Reported First on WhereYouEat; King Buffet shut down last week but should be re-opening one of these days, maybe in time for the weekend.  Cucina Di Napoli (As reported by our Visitors and confirmed) has been closed this afternoon.  We have not received word on when they should be re-opening but it takes usually 4 – 7 days until the DBOH comes to re-inspect after closing.

The Cucina Di Napoli and King Buffet Restaurant menus/photos and hour information will remain listed unless permanent closure happens.

Restaurant Closings for Snow Storm

Many restaurant may be closed during the snow storm blanket that is supposed to cover Staten Island early today.  Please do not rely on WhereYouEat “Open” images as we currently do not have a system in place that will track which restaurant are opened during certain weather changes.  Please contact the restaurants themselves to confirm if they are opened or closed and still offering delivery service.  Also understand that many local businesses are closed, all Staten Island Schools including College of Staten Island, Private and Public all have closed.

Please know that for the future we will develop a system where our System Administrators will contact restaurants to find out if they are open and it will be listed through this Restaurant Scoop section.

Il Pomodora has been changed to Roma Delight

In Great Kills, one of the new Il Pomodoro’s is gone.  It is now Roma Delight, the Menu and Photos of the sign will be updated very shortly, here is the link to the Restaurant page.
