Frank & Danny’s

South Shore Staten Island has a new pizzeria and we gotta mention that it is pretty good. Frank and Danny’s has took over the previous location spot of Valducci’s, redid the place, the dining room is renovated, floors are new and what’s best is they bring their family secret ingredients and it tastes really good. You can tell cheese is of great quality and the pizza guy really knows what he’s doing, we tried a Sicilian slice and it tasted delicious.
The restaurant is currently a sponsor but our opinion of the slice is never based on that, they serve Neapolitan Pizza, Pan Pizza, Sicilian and L&B Style, Rolls, Garlic Rolls, Soups and Salads, Pasta in which the sauces are made using family secret recipes and for special ocasions you can have the Heart-Shaped pizza for only $13.99. Also be sure to check out some of their coupons.

If you remember the Tuscan Sun that stood on Amboy Road (across from Villagio) and the delicious food that used to be served by Michelle (Michelle’s Kitchen) not to far away, put them together along with the owner who used to run Staten Island’s last brewery and you have Tottenville Tavern. The layout is very similar to the previous restaurant, the counter turns into a sit-down bar, tables remain in similar position. A nice comfortable location but the parking may be a bit difficult (Bus stop right in front).

Burgers are all 1/2 pound, served with tavern chips or fries and include the Tavern Burger, Spicy Burger, Sausage Burger. Pizza is also served at this bar under Bar Pies and offering a nice selection of some specialty pies. You can always check out the menu with the link below.

A little about the place: It’s a small little cozy spot, one room using clothes for seating to give it a finer feel not like a “Stalovia/Lunch room”
Grand Opening Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet

Filed under -Featured, Grand Openings, Staten Island
So this place has been through a lot of various “Buffet” style restaurants in the past, you may remember Hometown Buffet, Tokyo Buffet and other Chinese Style Buffet. But here we have a new look, feel with much more buffet tables, 15 to be exact, serving all various foods in their 15,000 square foot premises.
Upon entering the wall features a full size pond with very neat layout of water in motion telling a little story of how well they care about presentation. Tables are positioned around the perimeter of the restaurant, a private party room letting a large group of guests have the entire room to themselves.
A very large selection of food featuring everything from Seafood such as shrimp, mussels, crab legs. Various type of meats, chicken, brisket, hibachi is even served in it’s special place in the back which we hear may at times get a line which forces a wait. Sushi is prepared fresh in front of your eyes. In these type of restaurants, all you can eat buffet, it is required that the restaurant is busy and keeps a steady flow of traffic to keep the food coming fresh and so far as they opened 2 weeks ago, it has been non-stop.
This restaurant does not have a menu but price is on the page, $6.99 for lunch, $9.99 for dinner and plus we got some coupons for you, letting you save up to $3 for your dinner.

Three Grand Openings

A few more restaurants come to Staten Island, a Philippians place that is now sitting at the previous location of Wrap City in Tomkins. This restaurant serves buffet style Asian Cuisine that looks delicious, a little bit of mixed seafood, some beef, pork, empanada’s which I got a taste off where one of the best on the North Shore and the best part is it’s unique to Staten Island. Some inside information tells us it’s by the same owners and management as Fushimi which business is a bit slacking lately so they are trying this new type of venture with a more home-style atmosphere.

A new Spanish Restaurant lands on the North shore, El Dorado serving simple Spanish buffet style cuisine. The restaurant has a lot to be desired, feels like an open cafeteria than a restaurant, not a cozy feeling but hopefully they improve. Also the food on display is very limited, especially compared to the El Pollo on Richmond Road which is full of various fresh dishes and lots of traffic which guarantees fresh food.
El Dorado Staten Island Menu
Last but not least Panda Garden comes to the North Shore, although not related to the location on Lincoln Avenue, which serves delicious food, we have not tried this Panda Garden, but hopefully residence on the North Shore can have something delicious also.
