I had a very bad experience there in July. I was told by a few people that the quality of the food was sub-par and that the service was very slow.

They advertise "prime" meats. I doubt it very much...probably choice or select.

I like to try new restaurants. People have their own opinions, but I like to judge for myself.

I know the restaurant business very well. I am a manager for a restaurant on Staten Island, that is also in whereyoueat.com

The service was terrible. There was no management. Food was brought to wrong tables, the waitress brought the food (runners job), took over 20 minutes to get water. The place was a madhouse. I thought I was in the twilight zone.

Their current rating with the Dept of Health is 5 points, which is very, very good. It's a shame the service and management are terrible.

I will never go back there.

so sorry to hear about Quiznos closing...I think this franchise makes it impossible for their stores to succeed... the cost of renovating the store front and purchaseing their manatory items is astronomical.....

I went to Puglia two times with friends. I have to tell u that the staff was very attentive and friendly. They were on the ball the entire time and did not rush us at all. I noticed that throughout the restaurant, not just at our table.

The food was very good and attractively plated.

Every time I drive by there, which is almost every day, it is packed both at lunch time and dinner time. They must be doing something right!!!

I like that they have a nice kids' menu and families go there too. There is a nice mix of people. I will be going back soon with my little niece and nephew.

Maybe when they first opened they had a computer problem and orders got mixed up, but if people would calm down, be a little polite and understand that these things can happen-it is not the end of the freakin' world. There are a lot more serious issues in life to get all pissy about than that.

Being quick to anger seems to be a problem around Staten Island lately.

My friends and I will be returning soon!

We needed a friendly, good food place like this on the South Shore for a long time and Puglia fits the bill.

Let me start off by saying that despite the word of mouth that the service was bad I still wanted to try this place. I had the worst experience of my life there and will never go back and I am telling everyone I know. Let me start off by saying I went tonight, Thursday at 6:50 pm. We were seated and after waiting 20 min I called someone over to find us a waitress. She came and took our order. Never saw her again. 40 min went by and they brought out food to the table next to us. They brought 3 dishes and 1 of them they didn't order. Then they brought out 2 dishes for my table(we were a table of 4 and the other table was 6). Turns out, the first dishes were supposed to be all for my table. Still no waitress in site. No manager, nothing even after repeated requests to speak to someone. Some woman came over to the other table and when they inquired about their food she started yelling at them and blamed it on a computer problem. So now they have half their food, we have half our food. They served crab ravioli to someone who ordered mushroom. I guess it never occurred to them that hopefully the woman isn't allergic because that was never brought up. So after all the mix up we finish and the service was horrible. We go to leave and the people from the other table are outside getting yelled at again by this woman. Very Very Very unprofessional, and if you do not know how to treat people then you should not be in the service industry. If this place had good management, someone would have acknowledged these problems and dealt with it appropriately. No one should feel like they are just left in a corner and ignored. It was obvious by no one coming over that both these tables were being ignored. Also heard some others complaining about the services.

Dear Loug, we have been having many website problems this week and were very busy restoring data. We will list Randazzo's hopefully Tuesday. Also we will be connecting our DB to the blog so your login would be a lot simpler and connected to our main site as well. This is the reason the Blog is not as active with users as much as main site because it requires to seperate registrations.

THE ICES AT ALL THE FRANCHISES ARE MADE IN NEW JERSEY, USING NEW JERSEY WATER. THE ORIGINAL RALPH'S IS ON PORT RICHMOND AVE AND THEY USE STATEN ISLAND WATER.

MAYBE THAT'S THE REASON WHY THE "ORIGINAL" RALPH'S ICES HAS THE BEST TASTE.

THE "ORIGINAL" RALPH'S ICES IS SMOOTH, THE FRANCHISES HAVE SMALL CHUNKS OF ICE IN THEIR ICES...MAYBE BECAUSE THEY GET DELIVERIES TWICE A WEEK FROM THE NEW JERSEY PLANT.

Loug, was going to remove it actually right after we took the photos of the new restaurant. The place still has the same old sign, but is in process of replacing it. We have currently removed American Bistro but please wait for McGinn's photos on Tuesday.

Thank you for the Feedback and activity on the site.
