New York, NY- The Original SoupMan is pleased to announce its original location – the famed 55^th Street and 8^th Avenue soup sanctuary – will officially re-open on July 20, 2010 at 12PM.

Founded by the innovative perfectionist Al Yeganeh in 1984, this small, unassuming outpost quickly became a global legend. Now, it will once again serve its unparalleled soups to locals and tourists alike. The Original SoupMan’s recipes are rated Zagat’s best, and on opening day, and every day thereafter, from 12PM – 7PM, customers can line up for flavors that include: Jambalaya, Lobster Bisque, Crab Bisque, Mulligatawny and Chicken Vegetable.The menu will consist of Al’s most popular recipes and daily specialties that spring from his vast soup imagination, including innovations such as: Tomato and Mussel, Hungarian Beef Goulash, Mexican Nacho Corn Chowder, Danish Rabbit, Asparagus and Caviar, and many more.

Long before Seinfeld acknowledged Al’s soup superiority in a famous episode, discriminating soup lovers braved all kinds of weather and long lines for Al’s genius. The re-opened SoupMan location will offer the same combination of fresh ingredients and innovative flavors; and long-time SoupMan fans can rest assured that Al hasn’t gone trendy; the location will maintain the same humble aesthetic; the love is in the soup, not in the seats (because there aren’t any!) nor are Al’s rules changing. His famous litany of “Pick the soup you want!” “Have your money ready!” and “Move to the extreme left after ordering!” will remain strictly enforced.

My Pizza in Staten Island is one of those that display there items.  They have tables and chairs enough for small get-together with friends and also deliver in the neighborhood.  Sometimes you can see the My Pizza Cars running around with a sign on the roof.   They delivery to all of the buildings on Clove Road, Targee, Richmond Road and covers the following Zip Codes:  10305 & 10304.

A Famous Burger Franchise has arrived on Staten Island, Cheeburger Cheeburger with a tag line of “Invent Your Own Taste”.

After the traffic to the  website grew, we began to experience many server hosting problems.  The problems vary from not being able to access the website, menus and photos not loading up properly and other various issues which happens at times during busy hours.
(Please note that if you do experience this problem, it’s usually back up smooth within a few seconds so please press F5 to refresh the page after about 10 seconds or so).

This is happening because many users from a small local area are accessing the website at the same time and putting too much stress on our servers.  We haven’t expected this much traffic at version 2.0 development, currently we are receiving 24k unique visitors per month and most of the stress happens during 4pm – 6pm.

Version 3.0 is being developed with a new platform coding language which will allow us to find more compatible serving (Cloud Hosting) which will spread our website through multiple servers and allow for a much better, smoother and stable browsing experience.
-> Hopefully the website will be live somewhere in September, but we do not want to make any promises as we know how many problems arise building a custom web app.

Now for some small restaurant news:
-> Restaurant Reviews (Critic) are currently on hold.
-> Cangiano’s (Which was a neighborhood supermarket from 1970′s) has shut it’s doors.
-> Cheeburger Cheeburger is coming to South Shore Staten Island and will be opening it’s doors July 12.
