Mother’s Day, the day for which we give back to Mom; for all that she does all year long.  Treat Mom to brunch or dinner this Mother’s Day from some of Staten Island’s finest restaurants whom are also keeping Mom in mind.  Below are some restaurants featuring Mother’s Day brunch and/ or dinner specials.

Lorenzo’s at the Hilton:  Offering both a brunch menu and a dinner menu featuring beautiful and elegant piano music for $49.95 per person (Children under 12 years are half price).  The brunch is from 10:00am-4:00pm.  The dinner is from 4:00pm- 9:00pm with a 4 course pre- fixe menu.  The first course has a choice of roasted pepper arancini, handcrafted pretzel, or caprese salad; a second course with the option of a farro salad, which is an ancient Tuscan salad, a strawberry arugula salad, lasagna Bolognese, and penne filetto di pomodoro; and a third course offering chicken Florentine, braised angus beef short ribs, pretzel crusted salmon, St. Peter’s fish marechiara, and herb roasted Berkshire pork loin; There is also an assortment of desserts.

Alor Café: Pre-fixe, 2 course menu is from 10:00am-3:00pm at $45 per person.  The first course offers tomato mozzarella tower, beets and goat cheese salad, traditional cobb salad, Bianca flatbread, pulled pork and chicken crepe, and mushroom ravioli; the second course consists of pastrami hash and eggs, gourmet vegetable omelet, seafood spaghetti, and more as well as an assortment of desserts.

Gatsby’s on the Bay:  Offering 3 course dinner at $45 per person.  The follow times are available for seating : 12PM-2PM, 2PM-4PM, 4PM-6PM, 6PM-8PM.

Dominick’s: Offering brunch with 3 seating times: 9am, 11am, and 1:30pm.  The brunch begins with an assortment  basket of mini danishes, mini croissants, and mini muffins from 8am-2pm, followed by a choice of pancakes or French toast, 2 eggs any style, bacon and cheese omelet, egg white turkey and cheese panini, or slice of quiche.  Also served with dessert and unlimited coffee, tea or soda.

Z- Two:  Offering brunch from 11:00am-1:00pm at $28.95 per adult and $17.95 per child.  Brunch includes a buffet, mimosas, bloody Mary’s, soda, coffee and tea.  There will also be an assortment of muffins, bagels and pastries.  Also featuring the “build your own” omelets station and carving station.

Da Noi: Offering a 4 course dinner menu.  The first course offers Fresh Mozzarella, Tomatoes & Roasted Peppers, Shrimp Cocktail, Caesar Salad, Cup of Pasta Fagioli.  The second course consists of Basil Gnocchi sautéed with asparagus in a tomato with a touch of cream sauce and Penne alla Vodka.  Some of the entrees are Chicken Martini, which is a Breast encrusted in parmesan cheese w/ lemon & white wine; Veal Scaloppini layered w/ prosciutto & fontina cheese sautéed in a brown sauce; Grilled light, white & boneless fish w/ lemon & herbs over roasted potatoes, black olives & tomatoes, Filet of Sole w/ Crab Meat; Rack of Lamb Dijon Sauce, Grilled w/ Dijon mustard & served w/ mashed potatoes; Veal Sorrentino, and many more.  There is also an assortment of desserts as well as a children’s menu.

Italianissimo: Featuring a four course dinner menu at $47.99 per adult and $29.99 per child.  The first course has dishes such as baked artichoke , baked clams oreganata, and eggplant rollatine and more; second course has dishes such as rigatoni amatriciana and grated caciocavallo cheese, ravioli butternut squash over tomato sauce, and spaghetti with shrimp, mussels, and marinara sauce.  The main course offers grilled baby lamb chops, shell steak with port wine sauce, veal francaise, tilapia with shrimp and butternut squash sauce, and more.  There is an assortment of desserts as well as options for children’s menu.

Mario’s: Offering a 4 course menu. The first course featuring fried calamari, baked clams, prosciutto with melon and more.  First class (Ala carte) with green house salad, fried calamari, zuppa di mussels, penne vodka and more. Dessert assortments are cream puffs, a trio of mini cannoli, and Italian cheesecake served with coffee and tea.  There is also option of a children’s menu.

Max’s Esca- There is a brunch buffet from 10:00am-12:00pm at $30.00 per adult and $16 per child, featuring Max’s amazing crepes with fresh berries.  There will also be an “a la Carte menu” from 1:00pm-7:00pm.   Both seating’s include unlimited bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and sangrias.

Pepper Jack Grill:  Featuring both a brunch and dinner menu.  Brunch is $26.95 per adult and $10.95 per child.  The brunch is from 11:00am-12:30pm with a 4 course menu including a choice of appetizers, salad, entrées, and desserts.  Some of the appetizer selections are fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and tomato in a light pesto, shrimp cocktail, and more.  The salad is a brunch salad, and some of the entrée selections are steak and eggs, PJ’s crab benedict, buttermilk chicken and waffles, and much more.  There is also an assortment of deserts such as rice pudding, chocolate brownie as well as coffee or tea.  Dinner is from 3:00pm-6:00pm and also featuring a 4 course menu at $36.95 per adult and $10.95 per child.  The appetizers are similar to those of the brunch menu but with the additional option of bacon cheese burger risotto.  The salad is a Caesar salad and some of the featured entrees  are grilled or blackened lollypop chops served over a bed of arugula tossed in lemon oil,  stuffed shrimp Provencal (6 jumbo shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat), Chicken sangria 9topped with sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts), and much more.  The desserts are chocolate explosion, strawberry short cake, and mini cheese cake as well as coffee and tea.

Portobello Café Featuring their regular a la carte menu with available seatings at: 1:00, 1:30, 3:00, 3:30, 5:00, 5:30, 7:00, 7:30.  The regular menu has appetizer selections such as baked clams, fried calamari,  Thai martini shrimp, Sicilian rice balls, and more.  There is an assortment of soups and salads as well as many entrees such as pasta dishes, poultry dishes, meat dishes, and seafood dishes.

Blue Restaurant  Mothers day menu $55 Per Person with seating times 12noon or 12:30.  3pm, 3:30pm and 5:30pm.  Selection of Appetizers such as Yams and goat Cheese, Lamb Chops, Scallop Purses and a few others. Entree’s such as the San Francisco Pot made with Clams, Mussels, Calamari and Shrimp slowly simmired with chorizo broth, black beans and Spanish Soffrito and a choice of dessert.
