It’s been a while since an opening of a new Dine-In eatery on Staten Island, but here we have a very worthy mention: A Dine in Mexican Restaurant that opens in the previous location of Mill House or Casa Milla.  Sabor a Mexicana “Restaurant a la Carta” is serving up Authentic Mexican and Latin Cuisine.  The restaurant features a Main Dining Area, Full Bar area (Unfortunately no liquor license yet, but is in the process of obtaining one) and a Private Party room.  Sabor a Mexico features a on site parking lot for guests, great for guests of parties.

The colors are vibrant and happy, upon entering the restaurant you are made to feel a little bit of Mexico, various decorations such as the Guacomale Crusher (mixer), little man with a sombrero, handmade drum  and other small things that give the restaurant decorative flavor.

The menu features lunch specials “Family Style”, for $18 you get a full Chicken, Sides, Salads, 2 Liter Soda enough to feed 4 to 5 people and other specials include 3 orders of Tacos with soda for $8.  The main menu features items such as Fish Ceviche, Seafood Ceviche, Salmon Croquette, Shrimp Cocktail, Empanadas and Guacamole.  Mexican with a twist of Latin flavors fill the rest of the menu, meats include Bistek, T-bone, Filet Mignon, Pork Chop, Dominican Style Chicken.  Pasta can be had along with selection of Mariscos (Seafood), Paella for one person or larger portion for two, Seafood Casserole, Grilled Salmon, Fried Snapper and more items available from this selection.

The restaurant features a note on the menu: “We do party rentals and decorate to your desire, Catering for all occasions!  Whether your having a small social gathering or a large scale banquet, our food will be an irresistible part of your event.  Allow us to make your event a dream come true!”
