The original spot of the Island Coffee Shop (which recently moved to Manor Road), opens up under new ownership and the new name is called The Neighborhood Coffee Shop.  The Restaurant Diner keeps the menu simple yet coffee shop like and gets rid of the entire Diner style operation as the old place did.

The menu starts with simple Appetizers such as Fruit Salad, Chicken Fingers, Grapefruit and Mozzarella Sticks.  Salads such as Greek, Caeser, Chef’s and Tossed can be had for prices ranging from $7.95 to $10.95.  Soups come in Cup or Bowl, Burgers are Charcoal Grilled and Sandwiches include everything from Turkey to BLT, Corned Beef and Pastrami.  Wraps, Panini, Gyro, Hot Heroes and Triple Decker fill the lunch style portion of the menu.  The coffee shop keeps the Entree’s simple, NY Strip Steak for $18.95, Roast Beef or Turkey for $12.95 and all are served with Potato and Vegetable as well as soup or salad.

A full page of Breakfast Specials and Menus are served from 7am to 11am, go for $5.50 to $6.50 for an open platter with Bacon or Sausage, Potatoes and Toast, served with Coffee or Tea.
