The Korzo Klub has been in a soft opening for about a month – but is not officially Opened for Lunch and Dinner!  Yesterday (September 26th) was the first day serving Lunch and the restaurant that replaces Zest (Zestaurant) is now serving new unique European Food in Rosebank/Stapleton/Clifton section of Staten Island.

It’s new and exciting!  The Korzo “Fried” burger is named the Best Burger in NYC by Village Voice – and you can have one for only $12 (During Lunch) and it comes with Steak Fries or a Fresh Market Salad.  With a selection of the Original (A beef blend, apple smoked bacon, Allgauer Emmentaller Cheese, house made mustard and pickle of the season), The B’klyn Beet, Slav and Otto selection (descriptions are posted on their menu link above) – The Korzo Klub is share to create fans around the neighborhood and probably the entire Island as well.

The menu messages read that the Korzo Klub buys farm-raised meats, sustainable seafood and makes all dumplings, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce and pickles in house.  The menu is Seasonal and actually changes weekly (the Wye listing will stay up to date with this restaurant 4x a year to stay accurate with each season) – so check back often as you will see something new each season.

Items worth noting from the menu before we take a walk-around include Grass Fed Skirt Steak , Spicy Hungarian Beef Brisket Goulash, Trout Organic Quionoa Salad, Hudson Valley Duck Confit, Uncured Bratwurst, Steamed PEI Mussles, Atlantic Cod and Chips and many other European focused with a twist of German food.  The cuisine is sort of a German & European Fusion.

A very new uplifted atmosphere with a casual feel and an open dining area that doesn’t follow the standard row by row seating creating a very new environment that seems comfortable to eat in.  The layout is similar to Zest, but a major refresh and new colors create the uplifted feel.

The restaurant now features a bar with a walk-out in center creating easy access for the bartender to enter and serve both sides conveniently

Upstairs room is still also revamped but keeps the brick wall that many have stated they loved in the past – this room can be used for Private Parties as well

Korzo Klub is open 7 days for Lunch, Dinner and Brunch.  All Draft Beers are $5 before 6pm
