Finally it’s here!  The best clam bar in NYC opens a location in the West Brighton section of Staten Island.

Longtime Italian seafood restaurant serving raw-bar and red sauce dishes originally located in Sheepshead – makes it’s way to the North Shore.  Made famous for it’s seafood and especially the sauce, here is what they have to say about it; Randazzo’s make any number of tomato sauces, but only One Sauce.  Two speeds, spicy and medium, dark intense concentrated, oregano accented essense is the same.  Tomatoes are cooked down until they are as deeply caramelized as a pan of fried sausage and onions.

The restaurant opens in the 747 forest avenue location, previously home to Broadway Mike’s and 747 steakhouse.  The atmosphere features a bar upon entry followed by an open dining area, similar to the original location, the restaurant also features a upstairs dining area that is overlooking the entire restaurant.

Randazzo’s menu features soups such as New England Clam Chowder, Manhattan Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque.  Salads such as Watermelon Fennel, Strawberry Arugula, Shrimp Salad, Lobster Salad, Chicken, Shrimp, Filet or Broiled Salmon over salad.  Daily specials are most usually available.  Starters all served with Hot or Medium sauce, the combo includes Fried Calamari, Shrimp, Steamed Mussels and Scungilli.  Raw Bar served on bed of ice with cocktail sauce include selection of Blue point little necks, Cherry stones, oysters, steamers and a cold seafood platter with everything on one dish.  Randazzo’s also features a full pasta selection with everything from Shrimp Lobster Combo to Chicken with Vodka sauce and everything in between.

Specialty dishes all served with French Fries, Fried Zucchini, Baked Potatoes or Grilled Vegetables include selection of Marinated Burnt Chicken, Broiled Tilapia, Crab Cakes on a Bun, Alaskan King Crab Legs.

Also featured on the menu are LOBSTER ROLLS!  It is one of the only few restaurants that feature this sandwich on Staten Island, other being the River Dock Cafe and Twisted Dish.   Lunch specials are available from 11am to 3pm and have offerings from $11.95 to $18.95.  Randazzo’s is open 7 days for lunch and dinner.
