The spot that’s been home to Il Pomodoro, then a few others, finally became a Brick Oven pizza last year when Goodfellas opened up a satellite location and called it the Goodfellas Inferno. Unfortunately that didn’t last too long and the restaurant switched hands soon after and the new owners ultimately shut the restaurant down about 2 months ago. Here we are with a Grand Re-opening where the new owners have something unique to bring to the table: a great unique selection of Specialty Pies and we were lucky enough to try the Papy’s Pistachio, while ground pistachio may not sound like it belongs on pizza, we got to say it was really delicious, made with Mozzarella, Mascarpone, Onions and Ground Pistachio, it’s just one of the unique specials served by the new owners.
Amici Pizza brings Great Kills a new Pizza Option serving up unique specials such as the Sun Dried Tomato, Pesto and Chicken, Vince’s Staten Island Cheese Steak pie as well as Brooklyn Sandwich specials such as the Panelle.
