It’s a corner spot right off Highlawn ave and West 5th Street located between Bensonhurst and Gravesend which is now home to a new Mexican Restaurant. READY, SET, TACOS is the slogan of El Gallo
The restaurant features an open dining room with a full open kitchen – so there are no surpises. Buffet table and grills are located right within view. El Gallo is planning for delivery, dine and and take out.
Pricing as it goes is simple, Tacos go for $3, Quesadillas can be had for $5 with a selection of Corn Masa or Flour Tortilla covered in Cheese, or go for the Bowl or the Fries for $8. Next comes to the filling (or topping) with a selection of Grilled Chicken, Carne Asada, Tinga de Pollo, Carnitas, Cecina, Al Pastor, Fish and many others including vegetarian options such as Mushrooms and Avocado.
In addition to the build your own concept, El Gallo is always serving up Salads, Tortas and Enchiladas. Tortas are made on Mexican (Portugese) bread with chipotle mayo, tomato, onion, cheese, pickled jalapeno and avocado. While the Enchilada platters come for $10 and served with Queso Fresco, Crema, Onion, lettuce and smothered in a Green Sauce with Rice and Beens.
Sides include Guac and Chips, Rice and Beans, Cactus, Esquites, Spring Onions and a few other options along with Desserts and Drinks.
