Battle of the Sushi Bars: Half Price vs Regular

By In Restaurant News, Staten Island

We have been noticing since about 1 year ago the major sales of “Half Price Sushi” all over the island.  It has began with Mitoushi Sushi opening and offering half price sushi followed by a few other Restaurant Retailers and finally Nakata Sushi and Fuji Sushi.

I have personally tried Mitoushi Sushi about 1 year ago and have enjoyed it greatly, fresh sushi, great service and great recommendations.  Last week I have decided to give Nakata Sushi a try and compare it to Hokkadio sushi in Dolphin Shopping lot plaza with Burger King around the corner.

The reviews will be coming out sometime this week and on a glimpse, I can say that the quality in Nakata Sushi (Half-Price) has been greatly diminished, the service recommendations is deep up sales to try and raise the bill.  While the Hokkaido Sushi place impressed and gave great suggestions, each bite was deeply enjoyed and the quality has by far surpassed nakata taste.

Although, we do understand the economy has not fully recovered and we are still looking to save some money everywhere and anywhere.  The reduced quality for a much lower check bill may be a fair compensation during these times.

You can decide for yourself, wait for the upcoming reviews coming in the next few days.
