Coco Thai opens in Windsor Terrace

By In Brooklyn, Grand Openings

It’s a Thai Focused Asian Cuisine and it opens right in the heart of Windsor Terrace at 268 Prospect Park West.  It’s a cozy small restaurant but with lots of heavy design elements, the walls decorated with traditional items such as Asian Dolls, Water Faucets, Handmade Cups, various Utensils and picture frames.  They really created an environment that gives off a traditional Thai feel.

Let’s see if the menu has similar uniqueness to it.  With appetizer options such like the Crispy Pork Belly, Chicken Sate, Thai Style Wings, Beer Braised Crispy ribs the restaurant does sure give it a run for it’s money.  Traditional Soups include the Tom Ka, Coconut Lemongrass soup, Seafood Noodle Soup with Rice Noodles are sitting on the menu right before the Papaya Salads and Mango Salads. Noodles, Fried Rice and Curry all are served with a sauce and a selection of protein including Beef, Shrimp, Squid, Salmon, Vegetarian Duck, Chicken, Pork, Tofu or Mixed Vegetables.

Sauteed Dishes (Which are my favorite) include same protein options with various sauces including the Ginger and Mushroom, Basil, Pad Prig Khing, Sauteed Spicy Eggplant, Ka Nar Moo Krob and Thai Rama a dish made with Shrimp, Chicken, Mixed Vegetables and Peanut Sauce. Lunch Specials are only $8.95 and include a complete selection with meat, sauce and a drink
