At first I was confused if it was a Thai Restaurant related to (EM THAI) in Park Slope, but quickly realized they are not related, logos are different and it’s a totally different cuisine. Although the concept is not too far off, simple straightforward menu with some of the best and most famous dishes of the cuisine it is serving.

The restaurant features about 5 – 6 tables and a few booth style seating over looking 86th street. You can easily eat in or order take out and the place makes it feel comfortable. Lighting is airy, yet not too bright.
The food served includes a few famous apps such as Summer Rolls and Spring Rolls. Noodle dishes with optional toppings.
While this is a Vietnamese Restaurant, it is more of “Street Food” style. That is not a bad thing, it’s just a different type of cuisine than a traditional sit down Vietnamese restaurant.
For example the Noodle Soup dish is made with a Savory Pork Broth with lots of ingredients, it’s a great option, but it is not the Bone Broth that full scale Vietnamese places use. The Pho Ga at Em is a Vietnamese Chicken Noodle soup made with Rice Noodles, scallions, chives and cilantro.
Sandwiches are a classic options here, Banh Mi Em is the classic made with Banana Leaf Pork, House made pate, Vietnamese Mayonnaise, Cucumber, Cilantro, and Shredded Pickled Carrots with Daikon.
The restaurant is combining New York sandwich with Vietnamese Banh Mi – Ty the Bacon Egg and Cheese combined and you have a new signature sandwich. The restaurant is also serving fresh made smoothies and drinks.
