Grand Opening: The Rookery opens in Bushwick

A new Restaurant, British style Pub opens on Troutman street.  The Rookery features an outdoor yard in the front of the restaurant, the interior features a bar in the middle with tables and booths surrounding. it just feels as an up beat and happy environment.

The Rookery food menu is simple enough to offer items such as Oxtail Sloppy Joe which is Sauteed Oxtail beef ragu served on a soft roll with finely chopped onions. Rookery Scotch Egg is a perfect six-minute egg, swaddled in sausage, dredged in panko and deep fried, Curried Goat Shepherds pie, Samosa Veggie Burger, Rookery Salad (Signature) is Bibb lettuce with apples and dried figs, raisins, spiced cashews and house made paneer cheese in an orange toasted coriander vinaigrette.  The restaurant also serves Mac n Cheese, Sweet and Sour Brussel Sprouts, Baked Cream Spinach and Mums Chips.  You can view the complete menu at the link below.

The Cocktails menu offers a nice and unique selection of items such as The Highland Boy, Blackwatch which is made with Johnny Walker Black, Becherovka, Sweet Vermouth, Creme De Cassis and Bitters.  Rum Mac, Pimm’s Cup and The Frog and the Lion fill the Cocktails menu which are priced from $10 to $12.  The Rookery also features drought Beer served in imperial pints – Bitburger (Germany’s Favorite Pilsner), Old Golden Hen, Goose Island IPA, Mackenzi Cider, McNeils Firehouse, Belhaven Black Stout.   Cans of unique craft beers and selection of wine is all posted on the menu page.
