Grand Opening: Tsob-Tsobe in Sheepshead Bay

This brand new “Cafe Lounge Bar” replaces Back to USSR, Russian cuisines that stood at the same location for the past two years.  Tsob Tsobe is complete renovated from the ground up and still features two separate dining rooms, one main area with some lounge style seating, featuring an open bar over looking the main dining area and a separate room which can be used to host private parties or just used as an over-fill when the main area is filled up.

The menu features standard “Mediterranean” style appetizers such as Shepherds Salad, Eel Salad and a Lebanese Salad “Tabouli”, Greek Salad, Waldorf Salad and Georgian Bean.   The house special salad is made of Beef Tounge, eggs, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and basil dressing.  Tsobe also serves a Azeri Vegetable Kebab salad made with Eggplant, Tomato, Green pepper.  Soups include Ukranian Borsch, Georgian Soup Kharcho, Azeri soup Piti, Dumpling Soup Dushbara, Lagman and a few others creating a mix of Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine.

Apps include the standard Beef Pickled Trout as well as Assorted pickles (Full menu link posted above).   Appetizers such as Samsa and Manti can be had for $3.25/$6.95 per order.  Greek style Dolma and Georgian style Tabaka as well as Russian style Fried Potatoes with Shitake Mushrooms.   Calf Liver and Uzbek Pilaf as well as Calamari Rings fill the rest of the apps portion.

Entree’s gives an option of Lamb Shank or Braised Short Ribs from meat.  Fish dishes include Bass Filet, Trout, Tilapia and Branzini.  Variety of side dishes such as Buckwheat and Grilled Vegetables can be had.  Come here and order some various Kebabs such as Sturgeon Kebab, Chilean Sea Bass and Chicken Wing, mix it up, get a side and you enjoy a night with some friends.
