Bay sweet Cafe and Sandwich shop opens on Bay Street

By In Grand Openings, Staten Island

Bay Sweet Cafe has a set focus to serve the best sandwich in town – and from the pictures we have seen, they are sure on the right path.

Half or Whole is the choice for the Submarines which all are served with Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, Onions and choice of Mayo, Mustard or other dressing.  The selection of “Submarines” from Bay Sweet Cafe include Spiced Ham, Salami and Cheese for a $6.50 portion or a full overstuffed hero for $13.  Other type of sandwiches include Roast Beef, Tuna Salad, Roast Beef, Turkey and Ham all within a similar price range for around $12 for the full.

The Vegetarian Dream is a signature hero made with Eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and cucumbers with EVOO and Vinegar.  Child sized lunch at Bay Sweet Cafe can be had for $3 and includes selection of any meat and cheese on a white bread.  Personal Pizza pies are served for $3.50.  Salads go for around $6.

The cafe features a full Ralph’s Ices section and has opened it’s doors yesterday on Sunday.  Daily specials is a main offering of this restaurant, a full platter in 7 or 9 inch for $6.50 and $8.50 respectively.  Hot Lunch includes items such as Chili Dog, Cheeseburger, Meatball Parmigiana, Sausage and Peppers, Chicken Parmigiana, Italian Hot dog made with potatoes, onions, peppers and ketchup along with mustard.

The manager of the restaurant also told us they will be making Fresh Mozzarella and other homemade baked goods – View the Complete Menu on the WYE listing page.  The restaurant is located at the cross over of St George and Stapleton and covers parts of Tomkinsville.
