The Staten Island restaurant scene greatly changed for the past few weeks, we have a few grand openings, restaurant changes as well as closings. We’ll start with the renovations
- Z-Two the south shore eatery, diner, lounge has recently completed an outdoor upscale lounge area as addition to this beautiful restaurant. Making this a perfect spot for any occasion, family gathering, breakfast, lunch, dinner and now your special evening events in a private setting.
- Pacific Kitchen, one of the newest Chinese restaurants in Great Kills area has recently changed from a take-out only joint to dine in with addition of chairs and tables as well as a setting change.
- Taste of India has recently took over the lease of the previous restaurant next door and completely renovated it into a upscale style Indian Cuisine, with a lounge area and unique sitting.
- Sushi Excellent has overhauled there menu from the original up-scale to a new lower priced menu with half-price sushi, now let’s hope the quality remains the same.
- DaddyO’s, Staten Island’s quickly famed Authentic BBQ Joint with a real outdoor PIT adds outdoor dining with a Tiki Bar Lounge Area.
Some new openings we have to report
- The North Shore has a great new addition by an owner/chef with a large following, BLUE owned by the same team as Beso and Bayou. We are currently working on gathering the menus and details, but the listing is already up.
- Coming Soon is Anthony’s Pizza place, previous location of Sal’s of Soho, let’s hope they bring back the Coal Oven Pizza!!! Because unfortunately Staten Island’s no longer has one.
- Ting n Ting a new West Indian/American place opens up on Bay Street across from Rick’s Cafe, serving items like the Curry Chicken and Jerk Chicken, Oxtails, Jerk Pork and Stew Beef.
