Staten Island gets a brand new fully revamped, renovated Sushi & Lounge Restaurant!  Ginza sits at the previous Sanma location (original Mitoushi of Staten Island) at the Richmond Avenue and Akron street location.

The entrance of Ginza opens with a beautiful sushi bar & liquor display area. Various Saki’s, Whiskey’s, Tequila and other beverages fill the area.  The Sushi bar displays fish which looks clean and presented very well.  The dining room layout is a open comfortable area with a few round booths for small gatherings on the sides and tables in the center.

The new management states they want to bring back the original Mitoushi vibe with drinks specials and various nightly specials. Ginza menu starts as a traditional Japanese & Asian Cuisine, Lunch specials such as Sushi, Sashimi, Chirashi lunch.  Lunch Plates, Combo Boxes and Hibachi Lunch Plate, start the menu off.  Continue to Appetizers for items such as Bang Bang Shrimp, BBQ Squid, Seafood Pancake, Takoyaki.

Appetizer from sushi bar features Naruto, it’s a favorite of mine where various fish is wrapped in a cucumber roll without any rice.  It’s on Ginza appetizer menu and made with Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Avocado, Tobiko wrapped in cucumber.  Yellowtail Jalapeno, Wasabi Cracker, Pepper Tuna, Japanese Pizza and more start of this menu.

The rolls are your Japanese standards as well as a wide selection of Chef Specials rolls.  Scorpion, Kamikaze, Around the World, Bay Ridge, Red Dragon, Snow Flake and many more. A la Carte Sushi / Sashimi menu includes many specials such as Sea Urchin (Uni), Toro, Spanish Mackarel, Sweet Shrimp, Flying Fish Roew, Fresh Scallop, Salmon Roe and all of the standard fish such as Octopus, Salmon, White Tuna, Sea Bass, Shrimp & Squid.
