A brand new Turkish Restaurant opens it’s doors in Mid-Island Staten Island. Ciragan Palace ‘Sea-ra-gon’ comes to New Dorp.
The restaurant is renovated slightly from the previous ownership (Mekan) and no longer features a fully open kitchen, instead is covered for a more formal approach. The menu is Turkish cuisine fair with prices for Gyro Sandwiches starting at a very modest $5.25 and goes up to $10.75 for sandwiches on fresh made Turkish Bread.

The menu includes everything from standard Apps such as Hummus and Tabbouleh to specialty items from the oven such as the Lahmacun which is a traditional dish of very thin layers of dough topped with a blend of ground lamb, tomatoes, parsley and onions, garlic, cumin, black and red pepper. Seafood dishes included the Branzini Grill, House special dishes include the Mixed Grill and a full selection of Lamb, Chicken and Seafood dishes.
The dine in area is a cozy boutique style table setup with 2 rows featuring tables for 6 with around 9 or 10 tables total.
