The Grant City location across from White Castle is constantly going through non-stop changes, maybe the parking lot is hexed? or the location is hard to get to. Whatever the case just this year (2015) alone, nearly all of the restaurants changed in this mini-plaza.
- Empire Express replaced Bay House
- How Greek it is replaced Ciminna Cafe
- Gogos Deli replaces Gogos Souvlaki Restaurant
- Sim Sim replaced Sorry Babushka
(This is just 2015, going back in time there are much more changes, about 7 Pizzeria’s, 4 Chinese places have changed hands)
Okay let’s get to the story, a New restaurant opens it’s doors serving Premium Chinese Food; New China No.1 Restaurant brings Chinese Cuisine along with Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese specialties. New China brings ‘Nime Chow’ a Vietnamese specialty featuring Fresh Rolls with Shrimp, lettuce, basil and rice noodles served with a peanut sauce.
The Complete Menu for New China No.1 features a complete selection from Lunch, Combo to Chef’s Specialties including a Seafood Deluxe made with Lobster meat, jumbo shrimp, scallop and squid sauteed with assorted vegetables in a white sauce. Special Health Menu along with Hong Kong style Noodle Soup specialties can be found. Pricing of the new Chinese restaurant has it’s lunch specials priced at just under $9 and Combo’s at around $11. Appetizers and Soups are on the premium side of pricing with Wonton Soup going for $3.75 while the protein dishes go for the average of $6 for Pt. and $10 for Quarts.
Pictures are coming soon, but the restaurant keeps the same layout as Empire Express featuring two tables for eating in and mostly a focus on take-out and fast delivery.
