Grand Opening: Pho Rainbow open in New Dorp

By In Grand Openings, Staten Island

Staten Island’s second Vietnamese restaurant opens up on the other side of the original Vietnamese cuisine, Pho Mac on Richmond Avenue.  Pho Rainbow offers something that we have not seen on Staten Island since the birth of WhereYouEat (About 7 years ago), a Vietnamese Sandiwch, Banh Mi.  A Banh Mi is a creative sandwich made with Julienne Carrots, Radish and Cliantro along with Butter, Mayo and Cucumber all put together on toasted bread.  the Traditional is usually Sliced Ham with Ground Pork, the restaurant offers a few variations of the Banh Mi including the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Sate Beef and Curry Chicken.

Pho Rainbow also offers many authentic Vietnamese dishes.  Appetizers such as the Shrimp Summer Rolls, Vietnamese Style Vegetable Spring Rolls, Pork Rolls, Crispy Squid and Rice Rolls.  The restaurant also offers a wide variation Vermicelli, Rice and Rice Thread Dishes.

Seafood, Fish and Squid seem to be missing from Pho Rainbow, unfortunately Saute’s and Lemongrass dishes are also not found on the current menu as well as the Seafood Mix Pho.  But the place definitely does crunch the need for a Summer Roll and many other meat favorite dishes as well as brings a new quick sandwich option to the neighborhood.
