Staten Island hasn’t seen a new European restaurant in a few years already and Amadeus is changing that with a complete main menu along with many banquet party menu options. Being a European cuisine Amadeus is designed to accommodate parties and of course the chef’s are well versed and experts in the field.

Excerpt from the menu reads: “This menu is based on natural local and seasonal products from farmers of the Staten Island region. We consider that the gastronomy itself begins where the product reigns. By placing an order with us, you also make contribution to development of modern Russian and American cuisine and farming of our community.
The restaurant itself is located right at the top of New Dorp lane, one block over towards Richmond town, on the Second Floor. The original location of Villa Portofino years ago, followed by a few restaurants in-between including a Mediterranean eatery, another Italian restaurant and a pizzeria.

The restaurant is completely renovated and features a beautiful open layout with a multi-level dining experience overlooking a dance floor with easy room for a live band or any kind of performances. Upon entering Amadeus you are welcomed by a full size bar, large enough to have lunch or dinner – the opposite side looks at the complete open dining area which is positioned around the dance floor. This newest Russian restaurant features a private parking lot for easy parties.

The menu is very well thought out. For regular dinner or lunch Amadeus offers some very unique food options to the area. From the appetizers you can get items such as the Fresh Sardines, Bone Marrow & Escargot, Tuna and Salmon Tartare, Chicken or Skirt Steak Yakitori, Foie Gras Pate, Chimichuri Double Smoked Bakon, Chilly Shishito Peppers, Sambuca Oysters Rockefeller with Caviar.
Russian Soup Ukha or the French Onion Soup is availale as well as sides such as Brussel Sprouts, Grilled Vegetables and Sweet Potatoes. The Salads selection is large and offers a unique selection as well – go for the Pear Salad, Roasted Beet, Garden, Warm Octopus, Lardon, Caesar or the Burrata Cheese.

Onto the entree’s, Staten Island’s newest Russian Restaurant offers plenty of options ‘From the Ocean’, choices included dishes like the Grilled Bronzino served with a Spinach Pure and Basil Pesto. Or go for the Grilled Rainbow Trout served with Califlower, hazelnut and a creamy white sauce. Chilean Sea Bass is smoked and served with Whipped potato and champagne truffle sauce or a very delicious looking Seared Scallops made with butternut squash puree and a fennel salad. (Delicious looking as the restaurant provided us with some official dish photos).
Prices are also very reasonable. For a dish like the Roasted Salmon served with Black Quinoa, Shitaki Mushroom and a greens salad – $16. A grilled Branzino dish costs $19, Spiced Shrimp Scampi served with Linguine, asparagus and cherry tomato is $16
Meat Options are very on point to offer something for anyone. NY Strip Steak (an NYC classic) is said to be well-marbled, tender and full of flavor. A Ribeye steak served Bone-In 20oz. Skirt Steak marinated in house. Filet Minion Robata center cut and hand seasoned. Rack of Lamb, Duck Breasts, Chicken Kiev, Chicken Tabaka are all on the menu.
A European restaurant always specializes in desserts and pastries, by the look of some of photos provided (available on the listing page), you can see items like the Creme Bruelee, Halva Parfait, Russian Donuts and Seasonal Fruits & Berries look simply mouth watering.

The Party Menus (Russian & European Banquet Menus) offers a whole lot as well. Multiple package options are available to allow anyone with any budget to enjoy the atmosphere.
The Simple Banquet starts at $35 per person and thee selection is large. Complete first course offering of items like the baby herring, pickled vegetable, garden salad, meat charcuterie, smoked fish, assorted eggplants, white radish with veal tongue. Second courses includes options such as the Pan Fried potatoes with mushrooms, hachapuri or pirogi with meat, fried pelmeni and varenki as well as the mushroom julien. Third course continues to serve Baked Tilapia with grilled vegetables and the Pozharski Cutlets served with Creamy Mashed potatoes. This package even includes desserts, coffee & tea.
Amadeus Premium Banquet goes up to $120 and includes items like the Tuna and Salmon Tartare, Shrimp & Oyster Cocktail, Foie Gras, Burratta Cheese, lardon Salad, Blinis with Red and Black Caviar. Entree’s in this option come with Sea Bass, Ribeye Steak, Duck breast and Rack of Lamb.
