Panino Rustico opens on Staten Island

The famous little sandwich shop from Brooklyn has just made it’s way to Staten Island.  Opens at the previous location of Alor Cafe in Grant City, same lot as Fushimi and Cucina Fresca.

The Panino Rustico of Staten Island is a Panini, Espresso, Crepe and Wine Bar, Cafe.  The entire place has been revamped and has a much more open environment feel than the previous restaurant.

The menu features a unique blend of Antipasti options such as Olive Bowls to Assorted Cured Meats, Mixed Plates and Grilled Veggies served with Goat Cheese and Fig Glaze.  Bruschetta can act as an appetizer with options such as Asparagus with Tomato, Red Onion or Eggplant Caponata.

Soup options at this Staten Islands newest eatery include Minestrone, Italian Wedding, Cream of Tomato with Chicken and Orzo, Sweet Corn Chowder, Chicken Noodle, Tuscan white bean, smoked gouda, beef barley, Clam Chowder, Cream of Broccoli. Note, not all soups may be available daily, please call for Soup of the Days.

Panino Rustico features options of Salads and a whole page selection of Panini’s.  41 Panini Options to be exact and each one can be had on Whole Wheat or Everything Panini.

Continuing further down the menu, Wraps, Sweet and Savory crepes fill the next page.  Alor cafe has always been known for the Crepes and this new restaurant keeps some of that tradition.   It is a Cafe with a lot of Dessert and Coffee options.  Macchiato, Affogato a Double shot of espresso with vanilla gelato, American Coffee, Mocha, Cappuccino as well as Iced Coffee can be had.

The restaurant also features Fruit Smoothies with all natural no artifical flavors or preservatives.

Panino Rustico is opened 7 days for Breakfast, closes at 4pm on Sundays, but open the rest of the week until 10 and 11 on the weekends.
