As Poke Bowls, Acai Bowls and Pitaya Bowls continue to open up in drones across Staten Island, Shaka is bringing a fusion of both.  It’s the first, Poke, Acai, Fresh Juices and Smoothies all in one shop to open in Midland Beach/Grant City.

At the current time Shaka is an eat in, take out only place without availability of delivery.

It features an open kitchen with most items prepped in front of you and posted on display.  On the Acai and Pitaya menu your choice of a base such as Organic Acai, coconut water, banana, strawberris, add unlimited options of fruit, choose toppings and sauce for $9.95.   The Pitaya same is offered at the same price but made with Pitaya and Pineapple instead of of Strawberries.

From the menu Acai is a berry that looks like a grape with a deliciously tropical naturally sweet taste and a versatile flavor.

From the other section “Poke” offers similar build your own options.  Your choice of a bowl and a base such as Sushi Rice, Brown Rice, Mixed Greens or Organic Chips or choose a Burrito.  Top it off with options such as Salmon, Tuna, Cooked Shrimp, Chicken Breast, Tofu or Scallops.  Similar to the Acai, you select your mix ins such as seaweed, onions, scallions, jalapeno, orange slices, mangos, cabbage and many other options.  Top it off with sauce and a few toppings and you have your Poke Bowl.

This seems to be Shaka second location, first on Staten Island, with the original being a mall food court in New Jersey.  Opened 7 Days per week, for Eat In or Take Out.
