Located in Bulls Head, just a few minutes away from College of Staten Island comes a new style of restaurant concept that has originated in Hawaii. Hawaii Poke Bowl is the name, the offerings are similar to a Sushi Burrito (which can be had here as well), but it’s served in a bowl. With a variety available for selection or you can build your own, the menu is simple and straightforward.

Menu Items such as the Hawaii Classic macde with Salmon, Cucumber, scallion, cilantro, sweet onion, seaweed salad, edamame, masago, garlic crisps, sesame mix, sesame shuyo goes for $10.75 as well as most of the Poke Bowl except for the Tofu, going for $8.75.
So the menu goes like this – Choose Your Base (Bowl or a Burrito) fill it with Sushi Rice or Brown Rice or go for the Zucchini Noodles or Spring Salad Mix. Choose a protein (or 2) such as Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Shrimp, Chicken, Tofu or Eel. Continue to add Free Mix-Ins such as Sweet onion, scallion, cilantro, jalapenos, sweet corn, hijiki, or cucumber. Add a Flavor (Sauce) such as Creamy Poke Sauce, Spicy Poke Sauce, Spicy Mayo, Sweet Unagi, Lemon Ponzu, Sesame Shoyu or Wasabi Aioli. And then you get to Top Off your creation with all Asian Style offerings – Edamame, Seaweed Salad, Cherry Tomatoes, Chopped Mangos, Crab Salad, Sweet Ginger, Masage, Wasabi, Avocado, Garlic Crisps, Sesame Mix, Onion Crisps or Wonton Crisps. – There you have it, you just built a Poke Bowl.
