Staten Island’s got a new Mediterranean Restaurant – Riviera

It’s a fine Mediterranean Restaurant that opens at the previous location of Alladin Grill right on Dongan Hills avenue and Hylan Blvd.  Riviera is a Seafood Focused restaurant with lots of authentic Mediterranean Food.

Rivieria is a dine in only restaurant that offers room and designs for parties and catered events.  The restaurant features a bar (liquor license not available as of this writing), and a complete open dining room.  Parking available in the back.  Appetizers is straight focused on items such as Escargot, Drunk Mussels sauteed with fennel, Spanish Clams made with Prociutto, Grilled Seafood mix served with all the specials.  Calamari & Octopus to start you off.

Riviera does have lots of Meat and Chicken entree’s including Lamb Chops, Chef’s wallet Veal stuffed with prosciutto and peppers as well as Chicken Souvlaki, Mediterranean Chicken and Greek Chicken.  But the restaurant really shines when looking at their Seafood Dishes.  For $36.95 you can have the Riviera Seafood Medley a dish made with Grilled Shrimp, Sepia, Octopus, Calamari, Lobster Tail served with lemon butter garlic sauce and roasted lemon herb potatoes.

Continuing on the seafood options include Branzino for $27.95, Mediterranean Dorata for $24.95, Shrimp Souvlaki, Frutta di Mare, Seafood Risotto, Lobster Ravioli and Octopus Linguine.  Salads, Soups and Items from the “Garden” also have a prominent offering.  Mediterranean Couscous sauteed with fresh tomatoes, green onions, raisins and roasted almonds and fresh mint is available.  Riviera got Sandwiches as well.  For $12.95 you can enjoy the Chicken Pita or the Greek Burger Pita.  Plenty of sides are available at this newest Mediterranean restaurant on Staten Island.
