Taste of Pakistan comes to Castleton Corners

The first and only authentic Pakistan cuisine opens it’s doors on North Shore Staten Island.

Focused on being “The best Kebab Kitchen” with a full menu selection of Kebabs, the newest restaurant is offering free delivery to all North Shore and Mid-Island areas.  Taste of Pakistan features a small dining room, tandoori oven on premise and a simple straightforward menu.

The menu starts of with standard Middle Eastern cuisine appetizers such as various style of Samosa, vegetarian or meat, Pakora, Qeema Kachori and Aalo Kachori.  Prices are just right to be able to try a variety selection since they all go for $1 to $2.75, Spicy Chicken sandwich for $4.99 but that’s not considered an app.

Keebabs all vary in price from $1.75 to $3.99 and include options such as Mixture of Chicken, Beef and Chickpeas, Fish, or other mxtures.  Each Keebab can be served over Rice or Salad for $3, in a roll or a wrap for $2.  Entree options such as Queem Asta, Chicken Briyana, Chicken Karahi, Tikka Masala, Murgh Makhi, Goat Palao, Goat Karahi, Haleem, Nihari and Chicken Tandoori leg all go for $6.99 to $8.99 giving this restaurant a 1-$ rating putting it in the “Cheap Eats” category.

Vegetable dishes such as Bhindi masala (Okra cooked in Pakistani style spices), Palak Aalo (boiled potatoes simmered in spinach gravy), Channa Daal (Chickpeas) all can be had for $5.99.  Seafood includes Tandoori Fish for $11.99, Lahori Masala can be had for $3.99 a piece.  Overall Taste of Pakistan seems to be a great bang for the buck which we hope to see reviews posted on their page soon.
