If you remember the Tuscan Sun that stood on Amboy Road (across from Villagio) and the delicious food that used to be served by Michelle (Michelle’s Kitchen) not to far away, put them together along with the owner who used to run Staten Island’s last brewery and you have Tottenville Tavern. The layout is very similar to the previous restaurant, the counter turns into a sit-down bar, tables remain in similar position. A nice comfortable location but the parking may be a bit difficult (Bus stop right in front).
The restaurant is classified as a Neighborhood Bar and Grill, menu by Michelle serves the standard pub fare for appetizers with an addition of some unique items, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Fingers, Tavern Chips (These are home made with delicious dip), Garlic Fries, Baked Clams, Buffalo Shrimp, Rueben Egg Rolls and Nachos.
Heroes & Other Sandwiches offer items like Corned Beef, Rueben, Tavern Cheese Steak, Buffalo Chicken, Tavern Roast Porki, Chicken Club, Sausage & Broccoli Rabe, Slow Cooked Pulled Pork. The menu also features Thanksgiving Remix which is served with Turkey, Stuffing & Cranberry sauce, hoping it’s not just a seasonal item and will remain on the menu throughout the year. Wraps feature the Veggie served with mixed vegetables, roasted peppers, mozzarella & balsmac. The Southwest Chicken Wrap comes with Chipotle Mayo and Beer Battered Fish & Chips are freshly made.
Burgers are all 1/2 pound, served with tavern chips or fries and include the Tavern Burger, Spicy Burger, Sausage Burger. Pizza is also served at this bar under Bar Pies and offering a nice selection of some specialty pies. You can always check out the menu with the link below.
