Authentic Turkish Grill and Restaurant opens in New Dorp

Mekan replaces the Alor Cafe Pasta that stood at the New Dorp Location for the past two years and replaces with a full new look and cuisine.  The new atmosphere features a brick wall on one side and a full open kitchen with Shawarma upon entrance.

The restaurant makes it available for multiple options including Dine In, Take Out, Delivery, on and off premise catering.  For take out options such sandwiches served on Pita, Turkish Bread or Wraps are available for $5.25 to $7.00 with choices of Lamb Gyro, Chicken Gyro, Shish Kebab, Adana or Chicken Adana.  Dine in Entree’s include similar options but in plates with prices varying from $9.50 for the Adana Kebab up to $19.75 for the full mixed grill made with Shish Kebab, Baby Lamb Chops and Adana all served over rice.

Seafood such as Sea Scallops, Salmon Shish and Branzini as well as St Peters fish is available along with the standard Turkish Style appetizers such as Calf’s Liver and Hummus to the Haydari salad.
